President Bola Tinubu on Sunday received Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Kano Senator Rufai Hanga and former Senator Kabiru Gaya at the Presidential Villa for a meeting.
Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau led the delegation to the Villa.
Reports say both NDC Chieftains from Kano State plan to defect to the All Progressives Congress, NDC.
Senator Rufai Hanga is reported to be leaving the NDC after losing the Kano Central Senatorial ticket, the deputy governorship slot, and after not being considered for any position in Kano State by the NDC vice presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso.
For Senator Gaya, he contested the Kano South NDC Senatorial seat but lost out after a consensus candidate emerged from the Rabiu Kwankwaso’s camp.
