Ebonyi Federal Lawmaker Distributes Farm Inputs To Constituents

The member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chinedu Ogah, at the weekend, distributed not less than 5,000 bags of fertilisers, rice seedlings and a cash gift of N50 million to farmers and stakeholders across the constituency.

At the event, which took place at the Blessed Martins College of Nursing Sciences, Amagu, in the Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Ogah said the empowerment programme was designed to assist farmers, and boost food production in the agrarian constituency.

He said the gesture also demonstrated his appreciation of Governor Nwifuru’s support to him since he was elected to the National Assembly.

His words: “I want to acknowledge the support I enjoy from the Ebonyi State Governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.The enabling environment he has given to me, has contributed a lot to my achievements in the National Assembly.”

“I will continue to support the policies and programmes of Governor Nwifuru’s administration in line with his People’s Charter of Needs agenda.

“I also commend the governor for creating an atmosphere that enables National Assembly members from Ebonyi State to deliver effective representation.”

The federal lawmaker also assured the Governor of the support of the people of Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency for his re-election, and the success of all candidates of the APC in the 2027 general elections.

In an address, the Ebonyi State Chairman of the APC, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, described Ogah as a performing legislator who has continued to distinguish himself through quality representation.

Chief Emegha, who was represented at the event by the Deputy Chairman of the party in the state, Hon. Chinedu Nwali, described Ogah as a model of effective representation.

According to him, “Ogah’s consistent empowerment programmes, attraction of critical constituency projects, scholarship interventions and regular interaction with his constituents have also marked him out as the finest product of APC in Ebonyi State.”

The chairman said the APC was proud of Hon. Ogah’s achievements in office, and
commended him for his support to the farmers.

Chief Emegha urged the constituents to continue to support the law maker and other candidates of the APC to sustain the dividends of democracy in the constituency.

In a remark, the Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Odunwa, applauded the lawmaker for his commitment to improving the welfare of his constituents through impactful projects and empowerment initiatives.

Odunwa expressed confidence that the people would reward Ogah’s performance during the next general elections, but urged him not to relent in giving them quality representation that would further accelerate development in the constituency.

The empowerment programme attracted farmers’ associations, support groups, traditional leaders, elders and other stakeholders from the constituency.
