My Life Is Under Threat–Peter Obi Alleges

The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Mr. Peter Obi says he has been facing various forms of persecution in Nigeria, expressing fear that he might not be alive to contest the 2027 general election.

He stated this in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, where he alleged that the Nigerian government has made his daily activities increasingly difficult.

The former Anambra State governor claimed he has faced constant obstacles, saying the pressure has become so intense that he could not be certain he would be alive to participate in the 2027 presidential election.

“With the way this government is going, I may not even be alive to contest the 2027 election. Every single thing I do for a living, this government is deliberately frustrating. I face frustration every day,” Obi said.

He also alleged that he recently experienced an incident at an airport where his vehicle was locked, citing it as an example of the challenges he has faced.
