A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Zanfara State, Hajiya Hadiza Liman, on Friday, defected to the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.
Hajiya Hadiza, a prominent female politician in the state, moved to the NDC alongside more than 5,000 supporters from 14 local government areas in the state.
She formally announced her defection at the Galadima Ward in Gusau Local Government Area, Zamfara State.
She said neglect and failure by Governor Lawal to meet the expectations or better the lives of the citizens in the state made her leave the party.
According to her, she and her supporters originally followed Governor Dauda Lawal when he moved from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the APC.
