The Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Sunday, met with some stakeholders in the state to strategise ahead of the 2027 polls.

The meeting was a continuation of the efforts of the State Working Committee, SWC, of the party to explore options to further strengthen the party’s structures across the state ahead of the coming elections.

Held at the party’s Secretariat in Abakaliki, the State capital, the meeting was attended by National and State Assembly Members, council chairmen, APC chairmen in all 13 Local Government Areas of the state, and candidates of the party for the 2027 elections.

The stakeholders at the meeting resolved to work towards achieving victory in all available elective positions in the state in the 2027 elections.

The Ebonyi State Chairman of the party, Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha charged the stakeholders to work in synergy within their various Senatorial Districts, Federal, and State Constituencies, adding that the party must not lose any of the elective positions to the opposition parties.

Senate Deputy Chief Whip and Senator representing Ebonyi North District, Onyekachi Nwebonyi, and the member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, Hon. Chinedu Ogah, assured the party of the readiness of all candidates to work together with the leadership to ensure victory for the party.

The Ebonyi State Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, Mrs. Helen Aduga promised that all council chairmen in the state would work for the victory of all the party’s candidates.

She said, “I want to also use the opportunity of this meeting, to once again thank the Governor and our dear party for the privilege given to us to fly the party’s tickets in the recently concluded Local Government Council elections in the state.”

Mrs. Aduga, who is also the Chairman of the Izzi Local Government Area, promised, on behalf of her colleagues, that they must justify the confidence reposed in them by Governor Francis Nwifuru and the party by working to ensure victory for the party across the state.
