The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency, Princess Oleka Chinedu, has denied rumours alleging that she has traded off her ticket.
In press release issued on Saturday by the Wegrab-More Media Team, she insisted that the mandate entrusted to her to fly her party’s would not be compromised.
“I wish to state unequivocally that these claims are false, baseless, and a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and tarnish my integrity,” she said, adding “I remain a woman of principle and conviction.”
Mrs. Oleka maintained that she is “a true daughter of a royal family who understands the pains, struggles, and aspirations of her people.”
She stated further: “I am not a transactional politician.
“No amount of inducement will make me surrender the mandate given to me by the good people of Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency, especially considering the hopes of our women and youths.
“My commitment to purposeful representation, grassroots empowerment, and communal industrialization remains unwavering.
“I have not abandoned the trust and confidence placed in me, and I remain focused on delivering the vision and change our people deserve.”
Urging her supporters, stakeholders, and the public to disregard falsehoods and remain steadfast, the House of Reps hopeful said truth would always prevail.
She expressed appreciatelion to the national and state leadership of the PDP for the opportunity and confidence given to women through her candidacy, and called on all stakeholders and relevant security agencies to remain vigilant and ensure that due process and the rule of law were upheld.
“A good change begins with good leadership chosen by the people,” she stated.
