Arthur Eze Denies Endorsing Any NDC Aspirant in Anambra Race

By Our Reporter

Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Prince Arthur Eze, says he has not endorsed any aspirant of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, for the Anaocha/Njikoka/Dunukofia Federal Constituency.

He described reports linking him to such endorsement as false and misleading.

In a statement he  personally signed on Thursday,  Eze dismissed a publication alleging that an “Arthur Eze-backed candidate” was being considered for the NDC ticket in the constituency.

He insisted that he had neither endorsed nor authorised support for any aspirant under the party’s platform.

“My attention has been drawn to a publication titled, ‘BREAKING: Arthur Eze-Backed Candidate Tipped for NDC Ticket in Anaocha/Njikoka/Dunukofia Race,’ and I deem it necessary to set the record straight,” he stated.

According to Eze,  claims that he is sponsoring or backing any NDC candidate are deliberate attempts to mislead the public and create political confusion.

“I wish to state categorically and without ambiguity that I have not endorsed any candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), nor have I authorised anyone to make such claims on my behalf.”

Ge reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, as well as Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

He said that his political position remained clear and unchanged, adding that APGA continues to provide the platform for governance and development in Anambra State.

“My political position is clear and well known. I am a supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Renewed Hope Agenda. I am equally a strong supporter of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo and his visionary leadership in Anambra State under the platform of APGA,” Eze said.

He further stated that he remained committed to supporting APGA leaders and candidates who are focused on advancing the welfare and prosperity of the people of Anambra State.

While noting that he maintains cordial relationships with leaders across political divides, Eze said his priority is to support individuals and policies that promote national unity, peace, development and good governance.

He urged members of the public to disregard reports suggesting that he had endorsed any NDC candidate in the Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia Federal Constituency or any other electoral contest, describing the claims as fabricated and intended to distract from substantive political issues.

Eze also called on political actors, supporters and media practitioners to uphold accuracy, responsibility and fairness in public communication, particularly as political activities ahead of future elections continue to gather momentum.

He stressed that electoral contests should be driven by issues, performance and service delivery rather than what he described as unfounded claims of endorsements and political speculation.

Political consultations and alignments within the Anaocha/Njikoka/Dunukofia Federal Constituency as the 2027 general election approaches have led to speculations about aspirants.
