Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party won in the polling units, where a former governor and former deputy governor of Osun State voted in Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
Former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and former Deputy Governor, Iyiola Omisore, are supporters of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the election.
Results on the INEC Result Viewing Portal, IReV, showed Accord polled 131 votes at PU 003, Ife Ward 1, Moore, St. Gabriel Primary School, Ife East LGA, where Omisore voted.
APC finished second with 85 votes, while ADC got 10 votes. Other parties recorded marginal votes.
At former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola’s polling unit in Okuku, Odo-Otin local government area, the Accord Party pulled in 125 votes against the APC’s 85.
The result from Oyinlola’s polling quickly circulated online as Afrobeats star, David Adeleke (Davido) posted it on social media.
